How to measure the foot length
First, put a sheet of paper on the ground, then place the child's bare foot on the paper, with the sole completely flat and straight. Once this is done, put a mark where the longest toe ends and a mark on the heel.
Next, measure the length between the two marks on the sheet itself with a ruler or measuring tape. Once you know the length in centimeters (cm) or inches (in), consult the size guide of each model that you will find on our website to see the size equivalent.
Remember to leave a little room between what the foot’s measurement and the measurement of the inner sole, never more than 1 cm.
For best results, measure both feet. If the two measurements equate to different sizes, choose the larger size when buying shoes.
The size guide may vary from one model to another as it depends on each manufacturer. You can always contact us for questions at info@therainofspain.com.
Don’t forget to try on the shoes! A few tips when trying on:
- Try the shoes on in the afternoon, as feet swell throughout the day.
- Winter shoes should always be tried on with a sock.
- ALWAYS try both shoes on, the feet are not the same.
- According to expert podiatrists: With the toes as far forward as possible, the foot well supported and with the shoe open, there should be approximately one toe left between the buttress and the heel.
- Never buy a bigger sizes to make the shoes last longer. It is detrimental to the development of the foot.
